All programs can be modified for a specific age group and length of presentation upon request (most classes are 30-40 minutes long). Presentations for a Girl and Boy Scouts troops can also be arranged, including material for attainment of badges.

Fire Safety
Students will learn what to do during a fire with ‘Freddie the Fire Engine’. Covering Stop, Drop, and Roll, meeting places, calling 911 and not playing with matches. (Recommended for grades preK-2nd). For older grades, students will learn the mechanics, dangers, and proper responses for fires through interactive presentations titled, ‘The Great Escape.’

Scrubby Bear/Hygiene
Students will learn about germs, how they spread and how to prevent illness through story telling and demonstrations with Scrubby the Bear. (Recommended for grades preK-2nd).

For middle grades and older students will learn about personal hygiene through ‘CirleCircleDotDot’ skits and interactive games, covering the spread of strep throat, pink eye, and lice as well as properly taking care of yourself on a daily basis.
 
Be Ready 1-2-3
Students will learn how to prepare for and respond when there are tornados, winter storms, or thunderstorms through games and illustrations. (Recommended for grades preK-5th).

Basic Aid Training & First Aid

Students learn how to prepare for and respond to emergencies using Check-Call-Care, and what to do until help arrives, using hypothetical situations and practice of skills such as bandaging (depending on the age/grades of students).

Safe On My Own
Gives students information on how to be safe while at home alone, covering the ‘dos and don’ts’ of staying at home alone. Discussions involving dealing with strangers, caring for siblings, home key responsibilities, and some basic aid training and fire safety review. (Recommended for grades 3rd-5th).

Masters of Disasters
This class is targeted toward middle and high school students, emphasizing the skills needed to respond to emergencies while teaching the science behind disasters. It covers the mechanisms of tornadoes, fires, First Aid, and the importance of having a disaster kit.

Longfellow's Whales Tales
Longfellow’s WHALE Tales (Water Habits Are Learned Early) provides a fun water safety presentation. Teaching children ages 5-12 about safe behavior in, on, and around the water. Each lesson is reinforced with color poster, worksheets, activities, and a video that features Longfellow, the animated whale.
