Recertification is Easy!
Review Courses—(5 hours, 45 minutes)
Review courses are a time-saving way for currently certified professional rescuers to renew their certification. In a traditional classroom setting, rescuers review course content via video and with an instructor and then practice key skills. Rescuers must complete a written exam and demonstrate proficiency in required skills.

Challenge Courses—(time varies)
Challenge courses are for any rescuers (currently certified or not) who are proficient in professional-level CPR   and AED skills that need a course certificate. Proficient rescuers may skip formal classroom instruction and demonstrate knowledge and skill competency to gain a certificate. Successful completion of a written exam is required.

Earn Continuing Education Units (CEUs) through the Red Cross
Many Red Cross course takers—such as healthcare providers, social workers, recreation professionals, teachers and day care providers—need continuing education units to maintain a professional license and/or certification. In order to provide this added service to our customers, the American Red Cross has been approved as an Authorized Provider by the International Association for Continuing Education and Training (IACET). IACET’s Criteria for Quality Continuing Education and Training Programs are the standards by which hundreds of organizations measure their educational offerings. As an IACET Authorized Provider, the American Red Cross offers CEUs for its programs that qualify under IACET guidelines.
